At the tender age of 5-weeks, Spot became the victim of a rash decision by a young newlywed couple. Unfortunately, they neglected to ask their landlord if they could have a dog. Spot was juggled through three family members until the fourth family member contacted Pitbulls and Friends. The puppy's new owner, a local chef, named him Spot. They go on daily hikes up Cowles Mountain and they are best friends!
Homer became homeless as the result of a relationship breakup when he was only six months old. A family member took Homer in and contacted Pitbulls and Friends. Homer found a loving home with a former marine who needed a buddy. Matt and Homer are best friends!

Buddy was found at a junkyard and surrendered to the Bonita Animal Shelter. When Buddy's time at the shelter was up, Pitbulls and Friends took him into the rescue. Buddy now lives in a caring home where he plays tugger all day long with pack. Buddy lives up to his name by being the best buddy ever to his new owners!
Pitbulls and Friends found this starving, shivering young Rottweiler struggling down the middle of Iowa Street. She was exhausted and allowed us to take her in. She had been beaten severely, had a broken leg and was near death. Iowa came back to health with good food, lots of human affection and endless doggy love from her Labrador friend Doobie.
Roxy has found her forever home with a young athletic couple who love to run and walk and climb and swim with her. Roxy is doing incredibly well in her training and is working towards her canine good citizenship with her new mom and dad. Roxy and her 8-month old puppy Ralph were rescued by Pitbulls and Friends from an unbalanced home where they were living outdoors in unfavorable conditions.

Ike was spotted with a group of homeless men in North Park, limping and covered with bruises and cigarette burns. Pitbulls and Friends was able to convince the men to surrender the dog for the best interest of the dog. In our care, Ike healed quickly from his malnourishment and abrasions. Sweet Ike quickly found his forever family and lives in a beautiful home in San Diego where he plays all day long with his best friend, a 100-lb Rottweiler.
