Pitbulls and Friends Dog Rescue is a volunteer-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to Adoption, Training and Education for dogs and their humans. We are based in San Diego and we adopt dogs throughout San Diego County, California.
All of our rescue dogs live in caring foster homes. Our volunteer foster network allows us to save dogs and take whatever time is necessary to stabilize the dog, train the dog, and find the right forever family for each dog.
Fosters are the backbone of our Rescue and fosters are always needed. Pitbulls and Friends provides all of the supplies you may need - crate, leash, collar, tags, food, toys, bedding and bowls - you provide the love! If you can help, please submit our Volunteer Application.
Every dog adopted opens up a space for another dog to be rescued. Pitbulls and Friends holds Adoption Events every weekend so you can meet our dogs and puppies available for adoption. Please check our Events Page for upcoming Adoption Events.
Pitbulls and Friends has connected hundreds of dogs with their forever families - please visit our Adopted Dogs page for happy fur-ever tails!
Training our dogs is at the center of our mission. We believe that training together will create a deeper bond between you and your dog and empower you both to be responsible, safe and smart. Your adoption includes free access to all of our dog training programs including Basic Training Classes, Brewery Buddy Classes and Pack Walks. Learn more on our Dog Training Page.
We are an all-volunteer donation-based nonprofit and we depend on the generosity of caring donors like yourself. Your gift goes directly to work finding forever homes for lost and given up dogs. There are many ways to donate - ranging from sponsoring a dog monthly to shopping online and designating us as your charity when you shop online. Please visit our Donate Page to learn more.
